For those who are into blogging and have been blogging for quite awhile, if you’re situated in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines or even Australia, most of you would have heard about Nuffnang Ad Agency. Started by Timothy Tiah and Boss Ming when they decided to do something to encourage bloggers to blog and also for advertisers to find potential online blogs to advertise out there. Nuffnang is only good if you have visitors mainly coming from the region that the ads are targeted. This means you had to have majority of your visitors from the mentioned countries earlier (Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines & Australia).

Nuffnang is a good way to promote your blog with it’s widget based blog visiting tool which are good for blogs having low visit counts.

Nuffnang provides free movie outings, programs to it’s members and by achieving Glitterati status (exclusive South East Asia ads), one has higher chance of joining one.

Nuffnang gives the opportunity for one country to get to know another person from another country.

Though Nuffnang is said to give equal opportunity to smaller lesser known blogs to earn their cash, in real situation, small blogs don’t really benefit from Nuffnang – since advertisers wouldn’t want to spend their money on advertisement on blogs that generate lesser visits.

There has been a group of so called users garnering cash from group clicks per day to garner and gain more cash, puts off certain advertisers (well, all ads network suffered the same thing)

To achieve moderate earnings from Nuffnang, one has to have at least 100 to 200 unique visitors per day to get at least a fair decent amount to cash off in 1/2 months.

So far, Nuffnang has been serving TechieDan.com since 2008 and up till now, TechieDan.com is satisfied. Though in recent reports, it showed that TechieDan.com is getting more and more visitors from other countries especially the United States of America (USA).

With this current statistics, earnings for TechieDan.com under Nuffnang is not high. Here’s the recent report.

If you’re looking for a way to generate a slight income while blogging personally, you can try using Nuffnang. Nuffnang doesn’t conflict with Google Ads interest thus you can run both Nuffnang Ads and Google Ads at both the same time.

It pays to learn more skills in blogging about gadgets. Sometimes finding the specifications of a certain gadget is easy if it’s a cut and paste, but experiencing what the real gadget feels like is a different part altogether.

Most of my gadgets that TechieDan reviews on this website, are first hand experiences with a little bit touch of whether is it economically safe and cheap. Let’s talk about browsers right now, the thickness of the battle between Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer is now being intruded with Google Chrome. Though, most of my visitors now hails from Mozilla Firefox due to it’s open source plugins and additional tools that come along with it. We try hard to find the Best extensions for Firefox but with the amount of extensions in the web, it’s bound not to be easy to review all of them.

The web now plays an important part of your website and buildup of it. There are many tools out there to see if you’re ranked amongst the top searches for SEO practices. Sometimes we need to check out if the site is cached by google well enough. Now if you’re using Firefox, they have the Google Cache Checker Firefox extension plugin available.

I am more of an open source guy, and I am sorry folks out there if the TechieDan is bias towards this, but so far extensions and plugins are only majorly supported by Mozilla’s Firefox.

Enough of Mozilla’s Firefox, remember I did a review on a Youtube converter tool that with this, you can also convert it to mp3 and other formats. So far, this is what I call a proper review of gadgets which includes top priority gadgets and not just everyday news that I see everyday on forums.

Wired Connection – Artnet 8 Port Switch

Before my wifi modem actually came to my house, TechieDan was actually using a wired connection between his computers and his other laptops at home. Well, the rest used by other family members of course. So the whole thing was a a wired connection which is linked by one device called the Switch. Most people have their modems with built in router which supports up to 4 ports. Mine didn’t have one so I bought a switch instead. It worked perfectly fine for me.

The ArtNet 8 Ports Switch is just a simple device which just act as a connector between network lines and the modem. In other words, it doesn’t have the functionality of a router which can limit the amount of bandwidth used.

So having a look at the back of the switch, you’ll noticed the 8 ports. Basically they all have the same function. There is no separate port for the modem to connect to. If you really need extension to your network cabling needs, get a switch. Of course, would rather recommend you to go wireless.

But then, if one really need a stable faster transfer speed between networks, yes, opt for cable instead.

While looking through my contents, I found out that previously I had a promotional dvd which offers online game. Then it dawned upon me, hmm.. why not have a review on it. Here are the games list.

Ghost Edition 2.0 – online 2D MMORPG game, which might give Maple Story a run for it’s money

The Last Chapter Online – basically called TS Online, a game like classic RPG with ability to have own groups.

I’ve tried only one of the games before getting this DVD. Well, if you’re an online game enthusiasts then maybe this will interest you. Anyway this DVD Box is still unopen even with the seal on the box. Wonder who shall I give it to?
