Original Gameflier Distributed Game

Written by techieDan on May 20, 2008 – 12:31 am

While looking through my contents, I found out that previously I had a promotional dvd which offers online game. Then it dawned upon me, hmm.. why not have a review on it. Here are the games list.

NosTale - a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) doing quests.

Ghost Edition 2.0 - online 2D MMORPG game, which might give Maple Story a run for it’s money

The Last Chapter Online - basically called TS Online, a game like classic RPG with ability to have own groups.

A bonus Kwok Fai single [Don't Give Up]

I’ve tried only one of the games before getting this DVD. Well, if you’re an online game enthusiasts then maybe this will interest you. Anyway this DVD Box is still unopen even with the seal on the box. Wonder who shall I give it to?

MSN Live Messenger Winamp Player

Written by techieDan on April 10, 2008 – 12:54 pm

You’re using MSN Live Messenger. I am sure many of you have noticed that if you have Windows Media Player 10 and above installed, you can integrate what song you’re currently listening into MSN Live Messenger.

Sad to say, we all know how resource hungry is Windows Media Player. So some opt for Nullsoft’s Winamp but what about showing what I listened? I’ve been using this plugin to work together with my MSN Live Messenger. It’s called MessengerAMP 3.0.

Good thing about this is that I can integrate it and even set to show how long is the track play. Just see some screenshots.

Now this is my winamp that’s currently playing that song

So where to get this fantastic piece of plugin. You can get this at MessengerAmp 3.0 site. Easy to install, easy to work about. Need any help, just email me.

FireFox 3 Beta Review

Written by techieDan on March 20, 2008 – 7:08 pm

I am currently running Firefox 3 Beta 4 in my home PC. When installing FireFox 3 Beta 4, you’ll be greeted with this FireFox page.

FireFox 3 Beta Homepage

Looks very futuristic and with promises of easier usage for web developers and extension developers, this version of FireFox 3 is so goin to kick ass. Previously I was harboring on the subject of the launch of FireFox 3. Yes, since it’s first beta stages, it seems that FireFox 3 is still a bit buggy in certain ways. The most annoying thing is when visiting a site with adobe flash. The adobe flash plugin seems to alerting everytime even though the plugin is installed. Maybe due to it’s beta stages.

Though I am seriously happy with the new plugins that come along with this beta version of FireFox. With tools like WebDeveloper and GreaseMonkey, this sort of ease my web development process. Yes, and StumbleUpon toolbar works fine with FireFox 3 Beta. So far so good, even the memory consumption doesn’t take as much.

Slight Problem
When accessing another chatbox in an iframe, it jumps out.
Constant flash of plugin required

G810 Samsung Wifi GPS

Written by techieDan on February 9, 2008 – 11:24 am

I am a ardent Samsung fan after like 5 years++ using Nokia as my leading brand for cellphones. Well this sudden change was due to the design and a sudden change of the old style nokia feel. Comparing to the Nokia N95, Samsung came up with the G810 as a challenger to that model.

Few words to say though, G810 has great specs for such a phone but in terms of time, it has fallen short due to the time it takes to unveil it’s new phone. Currently only available to the market in Europe, it will take some time before it hits the Asian market. Here are the specifications for the Samsung G810.

Samsung G810

Symbian 9.2 OS
5 megapixel camera 3x Optical Zoom Anti Shake and Face Recognition
GPS
Wi-Fi
HSDPA
FM radio
microSD
150MB Internal Storage

It’ll take some time for the G810 to challenge Nokia, but until then if you’re into PDA phone and can afford it, get the Samsung I900 though!

Written by techieDan on January 21, 2008 – 10:08 pm

Just bought this game and was testing out. Vivendi Universal collaborate with Bass Pro Shops to present to you Trophy Bass 2007, one of the newest fishing game to date. Yes, if you’re an ardent fisher, go do the real stuff instead. This game basically helps one to understand the complication of fishing with the string tension, drag and the different methods of casting your line.

Trophy Bass 2007

In terms of graphics, I must say it’s up to a standard. Variety of fishes to catch which includes the smallbass, big mouth bass, northern pike, etc. They have different maps which one have to unlock by playing the tournaments.

One thing though, there isn’t any guide as to how to play this game but to learn it while playing the game itself. I spent a few times on the Just Fish option to learn how to play this game.

Game Features

  • Features 7 different Bass Tournaments on 13 world-reknowned lakes and reservoirs for a total of 91 unique fishing competitions.
  • Hook, fight and eel in some of the biggest Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye and northern Pike!
  • Drive the fastest authentic Nitro boats from Tracker Marine, jump some ramps to find the next honey hole
  • Test your skills in the casting competitioin and driving skills in the boat races of each lake.

Rating : 3/5
If you want to know about basics of fishing, get this game.
