Granted that, here was the screen capture of what happened during the past few days when TechieDan was on a hiatus.

Must be some person who hates America and Israel. Well, I am sure some of you have been hacked before. How did I recover the data and where was the location that the hacking was done. It was done on the header.php, by writing their own javascript to overwrite the older one so it will redirect to a page where the hacking page would be.

One good thing about WordPress is if you are still able to login to WordPress using your username and password, just reinstall wordpress and it should be good as new. Of course, if that does not work just reinstall the theme.

That is why it is always important to backup your WordPress data so in the case of emergency cases like these.

Also, a recent attack again. This time the culprit was found. It was one of the blogs which does not have a secure password and user name. For those sites, TechieDan have fixed the issue and have informed the owner of the blog that their password has been changed. Blog owners out there, to protect the safety of your blogs, do remember to choose a proper user name that only you know and also a secure password. Not something as simple like ‘admin’ or ’123456′

Nowadays social networking will make your business or your webpage flourish. This is what we call business social networking. Unlike websites that generates income and traffic due to articles, social networking is now blooming. It is blooming that webmasters take note of this and start to integrate social networks into their webpages.

The interface for the Firefox 4 Beta is simply amazing with it’s fluid like tabs and buttons. Browser also loads much faster. It also boasts of a NEW Sync interface which allows one to sync their preferences and sync with another Firefox browser on another PC.

But what’s a browser?

A browser is just like any other browser. The Mozilla team though has given us instead to Android and Maemo users a mobile version of their browser. Another thumbs up to the team there.

What does this mean? For older devices like the HTC Hero, this will definitely not be good for them, even if they have upgraded to Android 2.1. The reason, with the requirements of storage space encompassing 32MB on the phone, it’s just not possible. Another sad day for Techiedan as an owner of the HTC Hero.

Sidenote: Some sites being opened by the Firefox 4 Beta is buggy and crashes the browser. Let’s do our part as a community to ensure that Firefox would be released earlier after all the bugs are reported and fixed.

Though at times, there are bound to be something funny going on eBay. While browsing through gaming cards, TechieDan stumbled upon one of the most ridiculous prices for a gaming card.

US $21,000,000.00 for a piece of card. Let’s look at the description for this card then.

I guessed the seller was planning to make this thing on purpose. Either he was having a funny feeling or maybe he’s a whacko.

Wondering what’s wrong, we shall look further into the sellers other items.

Some people will think that this is a scam, but TechieDan here has shown that if you’re an active Social Media Networker, the possibility of making money using Churp Churp is possible. Churp Churp will provide ads from a list of advertisers that suits to the liking of what you wanted to display. Well, if one does not want to display alcoholic ads, then one can just stop it from displaying.

Conclusion
So if you think being a social network enthusiast is a waste of time, think again. Do note however it takes quite a while before one can establish themselves and tweeting with the reason to earn money is definitely a put off reason to follow your tweets.

One of the aims of this report, is to clearly show which part of the world this site was being frequently visited. As Nuffnang are targetting South East Asia market including Australia, TechieDan would like to share his statistical change from the previous record with the current one this time.

Here is TechieDan’s latest visitor count for August 2010 using Nuffnang Statistic Report.

Keeping a constant 50 visitors and above everyday is what TechieDan.com is trying to achieve and this is a good sign for years to come. As mentioned, technical sites usually get more traffic from the States rather than my home country based on my previous post here. So it seems so.

At least now there’s a shift in visits from Malaysia which makes it the 2nd largest visit to this site. Due to this increase in visitors from Malaysia, Nuffnang ads are coming in on TechieDan.com, though not as significant on my personal blog, it still rakes in the advertisements. Of course US based ads would do very well here.

As of now TechieDan.com has only raked in RM7.09 with 2 ongoing ads (not calculated). Will Nuffnang be a major source of income?
