TechieDan undergoing a Revamp
Written by techieDan on July 14, 2008 – 1:41 pmLooks like it’s time to announce a new plan for TechieDan. TechieDan would be going under a revamp and as such there will be a short period of time where it will go inactive.
But bare with me for a few days and you will see the all improved techiedan with targetted topics. What’s the topic, you will find out though. I find that I write lots of random things which doesn’t help me to target certain topics. So here I am now, it’s time to revamp TechieDan.com
So if you’ve been following me, thank you and hope that you’ll continue to support this site.

Tidy Your Codes
Written by techieDan on July 8, 2008 – 7:05 pmDo you tidy your codes when you’re coding, or do you just jumble them up so that only you can understand? Well, some people have their own thoughts about this, but if you are the only one writing the program and it’s for personal use, then yes, you can go ahead and jumble the codes all you want.
When I meant tidy your codes, one should also learn how to apply comments so that if ever the programmer were to refer to it again, there’s no need to see which part goes which part.
Well, if all else fails and you still can’t understand your own codes, then I think it must have been because you don’t have enough sleep

Wordpress 2.6 Coming Up
Written by techieDan on July 3, 2008 – 6:12 pmLooks like the guys at wordpress.org, after giving us the all new improved interface of Wordpress 2.5 is now in the process of getting the Wordpress 2.6 up.
Well, not yet though, but surely, well, heck there’s even a download for the Wordpress 2.6 Beta 2 up already. Now of course if you would like to know what are the recent changes, here are some brief description of it. A lot of fixes and new enhancements with an integration with Tumblr. The admin interface would also be a lot faster.
Though, one thing I need some fixing is the widget interface, when sometimes moving the widget around, it goes haywire. Now for those plugin writers and programmers, looks like it’s time for you people to update your plugins to support 2.6 on the day it’s released.
Kudos to the Guys in Wordpress.Org

Rumored D700 Now Confirmed
Written by techieDan on July 1, 2008 – 1:40 pmWhen the news about D700 started to surface, it was at first thought of as a fake or photoshopped photo. Nikon finally announced it on their web with the Nikon D700 out, and this time, it’s going to be a new FX Semi Pro DSLR out there for Nikonians to select from. This D700 can replace the so called D200 and D300 DSLR specs, though only the cost would be a bit pricey with the cost range about $3000++ (USD).
A few advantage though of getting this camera compared to the ones of D300 and D200 respectively the D700 features an FX-format first introduced with the Nikon D3. In a funny thing, it combines both what they called a merge between D300 and partly D3 respectively.

A quote from www.nikon.com
The D700 has everything it takes to satisfy a broad spectrum of photographic needs. The 12.1-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor with a sensing area of 36.0 x 23.9 mm; a sensitivity range of ISO 200 to 6400; continuous shooting at up to 5 frames per second (and up to 8 fps with the optional Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D10; Nikon's exclusive 51-point AF system; Scene Recognition System for optimum autofocus, auto exposure and auto white balance detection – these are but a few of the advanced capabilities of the extraordinary new D700.
Also be alert for the new SB-900 Flash Gun from Nikon.
